Good explanation of damage and quickly gave a shot for relief.

Dr Ellerbush is very nice and I love the way he was very clear with me all of what he was doing since I was on my stomach and couldn't see him and his assistant I was very jumpy worried about pain of the ultrasound and draining and he was very kind. I also really respect he accepted seeing me on a Friday afternoon when I wasn't even his surgery patient and he tried his best to give me some relief for the weekend.

He seemed rushed and gave the impression that he didn’t welcome my questions. Given the amount of information he presents, he should give the pt a few minutes to process, collect their thoughts and ask questions. He seemed like a nice person and very knowledgeable, but the interaction felt like a factory line. He used medical terminology that is, of course, very familiar to him but seemed not to appreciate that it might be the first time the patient had heard the terms. Appt was a whirlwind: information dump, expectations that I could make decisions about treatment options I was given approx 10 seconds to mull over, two DME folks coming in to present even more new info…way too much too quickly. Doctors want patients to take responsibility for their health and healthcare, but there was no time given to education and communication to empower the patient. Overall very disappointing.

I have seen 3 ortho’s about an injury and was misdiagnosed until I met Dr. Ellerbush. I spent 12 weeks thinking I had a broken bone when it wasn’t actually broken. He was so helpful and laid out a plan to getting me back running. He will be my go-to for all injuries from now on!
