Dr. Swords performed a very successful surgery on my 5th metatarsal that had two fractures and was in three pieces. He answered all my questions before surgery and during a follow up visit post op. He is an excellent doctor and highly recommend.

His office was able to schedule an appointment within a few days of my injury. Dr. Swords resolved my problem quickly and without any surgery.

Patients time is not as valuable as his. They put you in a room take your blood pressure and tell you that he will be in shortly and never shows up or when he does come in he spends 5 minutes. How would you feel if you were treated that way.

It was over an hour before I saw him and he wasn’t helpful with my problems.

Dr. Swords was able to see me within two days of my injury. He was reassuring about my recovery process. I appreciate the promptness and confidence of his diagnosis. Best of all, no surgery is needed.

Dr. Swords was very personable and completely understood my issue. He did a great job explaining how he would treat it and the reasoning behind his recommendation. I fully understood his explanations and agree with the identified parh forward.

Had an excellent recovery from my surgery and an overall very good experience. I experienced Dr. Swords as a kind and excellent surgeon. That said, it's important to listen carefully to his description of the treatment offered, and to ask questions right away about anything that seems different from what he told you or that you don't understand. Like most of the doctors I've encountered these days, he seems to have a very heavy workload, and the office is generally very busy. His orders for my treatment were not communicated clearly on two important occasions - once to the anesthesiologist before surgery and once to his PA before a post-op visit with her. I was glad I asked them questions when information they gave me was inconsistent with what Dr. Swords had said. They double-checked and proceeded as he had ordered, making my pain management and recovery time much better than it would otherwise have been.

I will be seeing Dr. swords as my schedule permits to once and for all eliminated the shot every 3 months! Best Orthopedic surgeon around for foot and ankle repairs. I'm his patient and couldn't be happier to have him as my doctor.

Gives you the visual incite into your case viewing and explaining the x-rays. Showing how and where your weight is loaded on the ankle. He is a great teacher.

Our first encounter a year or so ago wasn't great. But, DO.Swords and I worked through it. His procedure has my ankle feeling great 1 year after the fact. His instructions are clear and explanations are helpful.

Dr Swords was my surgeon for emergency hip surgery. I was so fortunate that he was on call. One month after surgery I was walking normally with no pain. Now after 2 months I am already back to living an active normal life because of his expertise.

I know I messed myself up being dumb, but I didn't feel any judgement being treated by Dr. Swords and his staff. He explained my injury to me quite well. It was like "here's your facts, here's your plan, you can do this to help yourself, these things are good, and these things are bad, these things will help you make the dumb things less bad." He didn't say it that way, though. He speaks very technically about what's going on, but he's a gregarious doctor who is obviously very good at what he does, and he found things other doctors missed. I wish I had seen him at the onset of my injury instead of being dismissed by a doctor at a different facility.

Dr. Swords is very knowledgeable and attentive. I am very pleased with the care I have received pre/postoperative.
