Michael Smith, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Michael Smith, D.P.M., is a highly esteemed podiatric physician and surgeon specializing in Podiatric Medicine and Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a proud Diplomate of the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery, holding board certification in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery. Additionally, he is a distinguished Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Smith earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from Temple/Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He further honed his surgical skills during his intensive residency training in Reconstructive and Traumatologic Surgery of the Foot and Ankle at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Philadelphia. Committed to advanced techniques, Dr. Smith also completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Traumatology at the University of Lund, Sweden.

His specialized training extends to critical life support, holding certifications in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Dr. Smith has made significant contributions to medical literature, including authorship in Comprehensive Textbook of Foot Surgery, Second Edition, with a publication on "Osteotomy of the First Metatarsal Shaft in Hallux Abducto Valgus Surgery" (1992). He also co-authored "Optimal Care of the Diabetic Foot" in the Journal of the American Academy of Physicians Assistants (1995).
