Dr. Michael Sistare, D.O., is recognized as a specialist by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He was raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas High School. He comes from a middle class family with his father selling construction equipment and his mother working as a medical malpractice attorney.
He earned Bachelor's Degrees from both Florida State University and Florida International University on his path to medical school. He graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine-Bradenton Campus before continuing his general surgery residency at Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami, Florida.
He learned the art of cosmetic surgery from Dr. Eric Nuveen at Cosmetic Surgery Affiliates in Oklahoma City as a surgical fellow. After fellowship, Dr. Sistare was fortunate to be able to move back to South Florida to start practice at Palm Beach Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Sistare chose a career in cosmetic surgery because it allows him to blend artistry with science, helping patients feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin. This field offers him the unique privilege of forming personal connections with patients, listening to their stories, and understanding their goals. Very easy to talk to. Inspires confidence.
Dr Sistare took his time during my initial consult to describe the abdominoplasty procedure and what to expect. Leading up to the procedure, at my pre-op appt, he was still very informative and everything he said to be expected, has pretty much been on point. I did have a few issues when getting home because of medication and contacted him and he was very prompt with his response.
I was very pleased with my consultation with the doctor; he and his assistants were professional and kind. I went in with many questions, but the doctor explained everything so thoroughly that I left with all the information I needed.
