Hematologist and medical oncologist Michael Rachshtut, MD, brings into focus both clinical facts and his patients' personal experiences with cancer to help them feel comfortable and confident in his care to help bring them back to health.
In his practice at Redeemer Health, Dr. Rachshtut - known affectionately to both patients and colleagues as "Dr. Mickey" - treats both hematological malignancies (including, but not limited to, myelodysplasia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma) and benign blood disorders (including anemia, blood cell and platelet abnormalities, bone marrow disorders, and hematologic conditions arising during pregnancy, among others). He is especially respected for his work with patients experiencing clotting and bleeding disorders.
Dr. Rachshtut also treats a wide variety of other cancers, among them lung, gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancer.
His first goal for any patient is an understanding of their disease and their upcoming treatment. In addition to the individualized care he provides, he believes having a complete cancer team available in a single location, as we do at Redeemer Health, helps his patients have a more convenient, better overall experience.
