Dr. Michael A. Phillips, M.D., completed his undergraduate education at UNC-Chapel Hill, after which he obtained his MD in his hometown of Greenville, NC at The Brody School of Medicine. He then spent the last five years in Durham, NC where he completed both his Pediatrics Residency and Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at Duke University. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics (2022), and is Board Eligible for Allergy-Immunology this upcoming fall.

Dr. Michael A. Phillips, M.D., is originally from Birmingham, Alabama but has lived in North Carolina ever since a few months of age, and considers this state his home. He completed his undergraduate education at UNC-Chapel Hill, after which he obtained his MD in his hometown of Greenville, NC at The Brody School of Medicine. He then spent the last five years in Durham, NC where he completed both his Pediatrics Residency and Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at Duke University.
Dr. Phillips is passionate about the treatment of both allergic and immunologic disease. He enjoys working closely with patients, to get to know them and also to understand how their symptoms affect their lives. This allows Dr. Phillips to then develop a personalized plan of care to get them feeling 100% again. He is a proud member of both the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy & Immunology and the American College of Asthma, Allergy & Immunology, and has presented work at both conferences on both allergic and immunologic disease. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics (2022), and is Board Eligible for Allergy-Immunology this upcoming fall. In his free time, Dr. Phillips is an avid Carolina Hurricanes hockey fan, UNC Tar Heel sports fan, long distance runner, and movie enthusiast.

I met with Dr. Phillips for the 1st time on 6/10/26. He is very personable, friendly, and courteous with a nice personality to top it off!
Very kind and helpful
Although I did not follow the directions and stop taking my allergy medicine. Dr.Phillips was amazing in explaining to me how allergies impact me internally and externally. He also validated my frustration with being diagnosed with allergies at the age of 50 and some possibilities as to why my skin could be rashing, I just felt heard he was empathetic, patient and honest. I didn't feel rushed or judged.

Dr. Phillips at the Allergy Center in Monroe was wonderful. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure we understood the plan. He was also very kind and patient with our youngest, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I’m happy to give him five stars.
Very nice and thorough in the information for my issue.
Today wss my first visit to this practice. I was so impressed with the whole office. Dr. Phillips is such a good doctor. He listens to what you say and he answers any questions that you have. I did not feel rushed at all. I definitely recommend him.
