Went into EmergeOrtho Urgent Care as a walk in. Swelling and pain in my left knee. Dr Shea was very understanding and diagnosed my issue after a short exam. Performed a short procedure which gave me almost instant relief and should continue for the next couple months. Highly recommend Dr Shea for his skills and expertise

Dr. Shea is Awesome!
He X-rayed my shoulder & knee. He injected both. I didn’t even feel the stick on either one. Later that night they were feeling better. Today, I’m so thankful! I highly recommend!

Dr. Shea treats sports medicine and non-surgical orthopedic conditions with a focus on overuse injuries in runners and cyclists. He founded the orthopedic urgent care in 2009 and cares for patients in the Asheville and Arden offices. He is trained in ultrasound guided injections.
He provides sports medicine coverage for several local high schools and colleges including UNC Asheville and Erwin High School. In his spare time, he enjoys gravel cycling and hiking with his wife and kids.
