Dr. Michael Murphy received his medical degree and Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Minnesota. He then attained a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Institute for Bone and Joint Disorders in Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Murphy has clinical expertise in arthroscopic knee, shoulder, and hip surgery, and has a special interest in knee and shoulder replacement. He currently serves as a team physician for St. Cloud State University and Sartell High School. Dr. Murphy is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine, and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He joined our team in 2000.

I have been seeing Dr. Murphy for knee pain. I appreciate him going over options for treatment regarding my knee. He is knowledgeable and thorough.

I understand that this facility is very busy, and I truly appreciate the efforts of the staff under pressure. However, during my time here, I felt there was a noticeable lack of bedside manner, limited communication from nurses, and an overall approach that seemed more focused on moving quickly than providing quality, personalized care. I believe patients benefit greatly from clear communication, empathy, and attention to individual needs, even in a high-volume environment. I hope this feedback can help improve the experience for future patients.
Wait time too long
Not the best bedside manner, but he did take time to answer my questions and was pretty thorough in reviewing my images and case during the appt.
