Dr. Michael Moustoukas is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in treating the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine within the Texas Medical Center. Following his residency training, Dr. Moustoukas then completed a Hand, Upper Extremity and Microvascular fellowship at the University of Alabama – Birmingham
With a focus on the entire upper extremity, Dr. Moustoukas specializes in disorders such as tendon and nerve injuries, nerve compression syndromes (carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel), fractures of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, joint replacement of the shoulder and elbow, Dupuytrens contracture, ganglion cysts, trigger fingers, rotator cuff injuries, arthritis of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand as well as work-related injuries.
His research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Hand Surgery, Journal of Orthopedic Trauma and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His research has also been presented at multiple national meetings.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, traveling, college sports, cooking, and playing golf.

I had the absolute best experience with Dr. Michael J. Moustoukas and his entire team at Kennedy-White Orthopedic Center. Dr. Moustoukas treated me for an issue with my hand, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible care I received. He was kind, compassionate, and truly cared about getting me out of pain as quickly as possible. He made sure I was seen promptly and that everything was handled smoothly from start to finish. Cassie was amazing—so supportive and helpful throughout the process. Jamie was also incredible. Everyone I interacted with was professional, kind, and clearly dedicated to patient care. They all went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and that I had everything I needed for a proper recovery. I would give them a 20 out of 10 if I could! Highly, highly recommend Dr. Moustoukas and his team!!

Dr. Moustoukas did shoulder replacement surgery first me 2 years ago and my shoulder is doing well. The post operative care that was provided was also wonderful. I would recommend Dr. Moustoukas to anyone!
