He basically refused to offer care to me, referring me to his P.A. for all future visits.

Dr Morwood was very clear in the explanation of the procedure and recovery of hip surgery. He made me feel optimistic and made me feel confident in his knowledge.

Attentive, answered questions, asked about knee bearing weight, checked areas of the knee, explained arthritic conditions versus strains and bruises….excellent!

Very little interaction before procedure. Felt like an assembly line. Last one of the day for them and felt hurried.

I watched the waiting room turn over twice while waiting for my appt (I was called 35min late--and that doesn't include the 15min I waited that is deemed the "check-in period," which quite frankly is absurd, especially when one does so online well in advance of arriving). An hour for a 5min consult. I felt rushed in that consult, and the overall vibe of this facility is pump 'em in, pump 'em out.

He takes his time and cares

He was 40 minutes late and didn’t apologize. He did not lay hands on my injured joint. Never checked joints above or below the joint at issue. Only used the diagnostic (X-ray and mri) and what his PA told him to recommend a course of treatment. Pain and inflammation could be a result of what is seen on diagnostics, but also could be related to something else. I would not recommend.

This was my first visit to Atlantic Ortho and I had a great experience. Dr Morwood reviewed my xrays and provided a good path forward for me. He also answered all of my questions before I even had a chance to ask!

Dr. Morwood was amazing. When I suffered a compound tib/fib fracture at work I thought I was going to lose my leg. Not only did that not happen I am back to work doing the same thing. I couldn't ask for a better Doctor. He's very confident in what he does and he listens. Ill forever be grateful to Dr. Morwood.

I didn't see Morwood. I haven't seen him since my surgery even though I've been told my appointments are with him.. I've been seen various PA's , some who are good, or the one today who couldn't have been more in a hurry to move on. His answers were straight out of a manual, might have just handed me the manual. He didn't listen to what I was asking and I had to repeat my questions and requests. My entire appointment was 10 minutes including intake. And let's not even go into the conflicting advice the PAs give.

Dr. Morwood may be a very good surgeon but he lacks empathy and any semblance of a decent bedside manner. He seemed extremely disinterested in my situation and did not offer any advice on how to deal with my condition, especially once I indicated that I was not ready to jump into surgery. I would not recommend him to anyone and will, in fact, tell my friends to avoid him as a provider.

Right hip replacement in December. Michael Morwood replaced the left hip in April with no complications in fact I was walking a mile in three days after the surgery. He was fantastic so we will have him do the right hip in December.

My first visit with him. He took time with me explanation of my knee X-ray was detailed and understandable. Showed me where bone Spurs were how much cartilage I have lost etc. talked about my choices of therapy. Did not push me into surgery. Personable, thoughtful and very knowledgeable! Would recommend him to anyone!

Doctor Morwood is a gifted surgeon and has a calming personality that makes patients feel very comfortable . He is confidant relaxed and very easy to talk to .. he will put your mind at ease and like he says “ I fix things” and he does a remarkable job of it .. I’d highly recommend him .. Last year, what was considered going in, a fairly straight-forward surgery, turned more complicated when I had an unrelated medical event . Dr. Morwood came up with a solution, I am healed, healthy, back to my active life, and very grateful for his skill and compassion. If needed, I will be back to him, and will enthusiastically recommend him to friends and family, thank you.
