Talked to him about my wife Merry about her serious painful knee problems. He tell check out to have her come in Monday. checkout would not allow me to do so. Have to wait until August 5th. No communication between doctor and scheduling.

As always, Dr. Morwood is engaged and pleasant. I wish he would have responded more aggressively to my concerns that my knee was still painful after TKI in August , 2023. Two procedures were done, but follow up on that was weak. Now at 11 months post op we are finally moving forward with an mri, and other procedures for the continued pain. I DO think he’s a great doc, but maybe needs to keep closer tabs on those whose post op isn’t ideal.

Just had my cast removed and my leg feels amazing already. I think he has given me a chance to have my live back after 6 years of suffering.

Dr Moreood is world class and I am so thankful I went to him. From my first appointment to the last he and his staff were the best possible. On my first appointment I was physically examined and xrayed and examined diagnosed with severe arthritis in my left hip and could benefit from anterior total hip replacement. He explained the whole procedure to me including risks and recovery. He was able to schedule me for surgery soon just a few weeks. The surgery was just as I was told and so much easier than I had ever imagined. The incision was just about 3 inches long. No muscle tissue was cut. They separated muscle tissue be just pulling sheaths of muscle apart to reach my femur where they replaced the entire hip with the very best and latest technology and using the latest technology. In just a few hours I was climbing a stairs then was released and went home. In just a week I was back walking with my wife. I’m just 3 months I was back to running 2 or 3 miles 2 or 3 times week

Dr. Morwood recently performed hip revision surgery on me. He thoroughly explained the procedure and answered all my questions and concerns. The revision was successful and after six weeks, I was discharged from his care and I’m walking normally. He is terrific and I highly recommend him.

He has been my Ortho for 2 years since I broke my femur and needed a knee replacement. He is the best.

I’m so disappointed with the outcome of my surgery. I went in with my leg 1” longer than the other (from hip surgery) and came out not only 1” shorter but now dealing with a considerable amount of pain. There are aspects of this surgery that I was never informed about which leaves me very disappointed with end result.

Very little interaction before procedure. Felt like an assembly line. Last one of the day for them and felt hurried.

I watched the waiting room turn over twice while waiting for my appt (I was called 35min late--and that doesn't include the 15min I waited that is deemed the "check-in period," which quite frankly is absurd, especially when one does so online well in advance of arriving). An hour for a 5min consult. I felt rushed in that consult, and the overall vibe of this facility is pump 'em in, pump 'em out.

He takes his time and cares

He was 40 minutes late and didn’t apologize. He did not lay hands on my injured joint. Never checked joints above or below the joint at issue. Only used the diagnostic (X-ray and mri) and what his PA told him to recommend a course of treatment. Pain and inflammation could be a result of what is seen on diagnostics, but also could be related to something else. I would not recommend.

This was my first visit to Atlantic Ortho and I had a great experience. Dr Morwood reviewed my xrays and provided a good path forward for me. He also answered all of my questions before I even had a chance to ask!

Dr. Morwood was amazing. When I suffered a compound tib/fib fracture at work I thought I was going to lose my leg. Not only did that not happen I am back to work doing the same thing. I didn't see Morwood. I haven't seen him since my surgery even though I've been told my appointments are with him.. I've been seen various PA's , some who are good, or the one today who couldn't have been more in a hurry to move on. His answers were straight out of a manual, might have just handed me the manual. He didn't listen to what I was asking and I had to repeat my questions and requests. My entire appointment was 10 minutes including intake. And let's not even go into the conflicting advice the PAs give.

Although he was unable to help me with the pain I’ve had, he was very humble n suggesting that I try laser. He just wants me to be well n out of pain. Excellent doctor....thorough ,professional , knowledge....gave me all options and explained everything in detail. He answered all my questions and concerns. The surgery went smoothly and my P.T.. commented on how good the results where . Dr Morwood is first rate, you are in excellent hands. I have no regrets.

Dr. Is in and out with no real interest in how you are doing .., doesn’t even seem to listen to your concerns Just running to the next patient .

Dr. Morwood may be a very good surgeon but he lacks empathy and any semblance of a decent bedside manner. He seemed extremely disinterested in my situation and did not offer any advice on how to deal with my condition, especially once I indicated that I was not ready to jump into surgery. I would not recommend him to anyone and will, in fact, tell my friends to avoid him as a provider.

Michael Morwood is an incredibly skilled and competent surgeon. Residents of the Seacoast are lucky to have him in the area.

Right hip replacement in December. Michael Morwood replaced the left hip in April with no complications in fact I was walking a mile in three days after the surgery. He was fantastic so we will have him do the right hip in December.

Took the time to show and explain my knee issues. Suggested a next step to enable mobility which worked nicely. He was very nice and I never felt rushed.

My first visit with him. He took time with me explanation of my knee X-ray was detailed and understandable. Showed me where bone Spurs were how much cartilage I have lost etc. talked about my choices of therapy. Did not push me into surgery. Personable, thoughtful and very knowledgeable! Would recommend him to anyone!

Doctor Morwood is a gifted surgeon and has a calming personality that makes patients feel very comfortable . He is confidant relaxed and very easy to talk to .. he will put your mind at ease and like he says “ I fix things” and he does a remarkable job of it .. I’d highly recommend him .. Last year, what was considered going in, a fairly straight-forward surgery, turned more complicated when I had an unrelated medical event . Dr. Morwood came up with a solution, I am healed, healthy, back to my active life, and very grateful for his skill and compassion. If needed, I will be back to him, and will enthusiastically recommend him to friends and family, thank you.
