Dr McKernan is very easy to talk to.He offered two ways that could lesson the pain in my ring finger. he injected a Long needle in my knuckle then another one below the knuckle for the trigger finger. I must say that my finger already feels better only one day later. I will go back in eight weeks for a follow up appointment.

Prior to joining The CORE Institute, Dr. McKernan completed his Orthopedic Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Fellowship at Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Summa Health in Ohio where he was awarded Chief Resident. Dr. McKernan earned his Doctoral Degree at the University of Toledo College of Medicine, and his Master of Science in Biomedical Science was earned at the University of Toledo College of Graduate Studies. He earned his Bachelor of Science at the University of Notre Dame.
In his free time, Dr. McKernan enjoys golfing, hiking, skiing, and traveling. His early passion for art led to the creation of medical artwork that was published in the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. McKernan received the 2021 AOA C. McCollister Evarts Leadership Award and is an active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
