Dr. Michael Maccini, M.D., graduated from Mount Spokane High School before attending Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. He then graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from medical school at the University of Vermont. He completed his six-year urologic residency at the University of Colorado Hospital, Denver Health Medical Center, Children’s Hospital Colorado, and the VA Medical Center. He is the first UroLift Center of Excellence in the Inland Northwest and currently the only physician in the Spokane area.

Dr. Maccini was raised just north of Spokane and graduated from Mount Spokane High School before attending Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. He then graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from medical school at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont.
Dr. Maccini completed his six-year urologic residency at the University of Colorado Hospital, Denver Health Medical Center (a Level I trauma center), Children’s Hospital Colorado, and the VA Medical Center in Denver.
During his residency, Dr. Maccini received training in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery on the da Vinci® surgical system for both benign and malignant conditions, including pelvic organ prolapse. He also spent extensive time working with two reconstructive urologists and has interest in the surgical management of urethral stricture disease.
Dr. Maccini treats a wide spectrum of urologic conditions, including urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, kidney stones, and prostate, bladder, and testicular cancer. He has a special focus in his practice on providing the full spectrum of treatment options for enlarged prostate (BPH) symptoms, including the minimally invasive UroLift® System, which offers men an excellent alternative to medications and more invasive surgical procedures. Dr. Maccini is the first UroLift Center of Excellence in the Inland Northwest and currently the only physician in the Spokane area offering the UroLift procedure in the office setting, providing a truly minimally invasive treatment option.
