This provider is clearly highly qualified but needs to explain procedures briefly before initiating-even basic routine procedures like exams. He seemed somewhat indignant when he realized he had failed to explain what he was attempting until he received a surprised response from the patient. Once he realized it, however, he was quick to explain in an erudite manner. This was unfortunate but from my experience all too common as providers work with increasingly unrealistic time constraints which lead to these strained interactions.
