Dr. Michael Bokemper is originally from Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. He attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and graduated with high distinction. While in medical school, he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He then completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. Following residency, he completed a fellowship with specialized training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, Florida.

Dr. Michael Bokemper is originally from Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. He attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and graduated with high distinction. While in medical school, he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He then completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. Following residency, he completed a fellowship with specialized training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, Florida.
His practice encompasses fracture management, nerve and tendon injuries, sports injuries, and arthritic conditions of the hand and upper extremity. He performs a wide variety of procedures and surgeries including minimally invasive arthroscopic and endoscopic surgeries.
His goal is to help his patients heal and return to the activities they enjoy. During his training, he found that one of the most challenging situations was caring for patients who struggled with an injured hand. He is humbled by the thought that without a functioning hand, everyday activities such as playing catch with a child or typing on a computer would be next to impossible. Restoring function to such a fundamental structure of the body is one of his most rewarding experiences.
During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, hiking, biking, trying new restaurants, attending church, and traveling. He is a lifelong Husker sports fan, and enjoys attending and watching all sporting events.

Dr Bokemper was friendly, has a great smile, and you knew you were in great hands and nothing to fear.
I always have a positive experience with Dr BoKemper. He explains things very clearly and I always leave knowing just what is needed and expected of me.
He seems genuinely interested in my problem. He explains in depth as to what is needed and gives options which is very important to me.
Doctor was very personable. My hand already feels better today after getting those shots.

Did NOT listen. Said the only thing he could do was give me an injection and an MRI..Mind you I have been dealing with this for nearly a YEAR and is affecting EVERYTHING EVERYDAY and has gotten so much worse than the first time I saw him (he referred me to another doctor in the mean time where I had to get 5+ neck injections) and was referred back to Bokemper for literally MAYBE a 10 minute appointment..and drove almost an hour to do so..for him to say i have tennis elbow...when before it was carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel. Lack of bedside manner and gave 0 cares in the world...just another paycheck! So now i have to wait even longer with the HORRIBLE pain I'm in for a MRI and another injection!!! I wouldn't have even given him 1 star but had to. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FIND A DIFFERENT DOCTOR!!!
