While I thought Dr Fernandez was wonderful in the past, at my most recent appointment he seemed dismissive of my symptoms and concerns. As someone with chronic pain, it was hurtful to have my concerns dismissed. He lacked any empathy for my situation maybe he was having a bad day but his demeanor made my day bad as well. Bummer.

Dr. Fernandez is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He has been a proud member of the UPMC Pinnacle Health Systems Board of Directors and the UPMC Pinnacle Health Governance Committee. He has co-authored several textbook chapters. Dr. Fernandez received the Orthopedic Surgery Clinical Teaching Award in 2011-2012 and 2015-2016.
