The reviews listed below were collected independently of Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania through rater8. Each review represents an authentic and verified patient experience.

We came in for severe back pain that was initially diagnosed at OIP due to high velocity injury from a work related accident. The first words out of the providers mouth was “I knew I was going to regret coming in this room”. The visit really centered around how he would handle workman’s compensation and what he would need to say to them than the condition itself. He said if injections are not working then the only other option is surgery. Ok fine but no info on surgery or the condition itself. I got more info from the PA I initially saw. I asked about taking Meloxicam because that was helping and was told that can be taken long term. Provider said “what is long term?” Very frustrated and have more questions than answers. Meloxicam was not filled then anyway. We will have to call for that. This is my first negative experience with OIP. Feeling frustrated and further away from help and options then when I first came in. Can’t stop thinking about what a negative experience this was.

I have seen multiple Dr.s for this problem. He actually listened with an open mind and figured out why I’m in so much pain. I highly recommend to anyone with back pain.

This was 4th visit in 4 months for same problem. I was there to review an MRI. Only information provided was I had arthritis in my lower back. Given options, I chose shot and was told someone would schedule. Now have to wait 2 more months for the shot and no information given about how to deal with pain until then.
