Seemless! A perfect medical experience. Dr. Blum was polite and attentive. He clearly presented and explained his diagnosis. He said there were 3 means of treatment, a knee brace, anti inflammatory medication, and physical therapy. He prescribed all three. The brace was fitted and it was not covered by insurance so we purchased it for $21. Next we took the elevator one floor up and scheduled physical therapy. The medicine was called in to our pharmacy. All this is about an hour. Seemless! Thank you Southlake and Dr. Blum.

Dr. Blum is fantastic! I had a partial tear to my rotator cuff that needed debridement. He had wonderful bedside manner and my shoulder feels 100 times better. I am so grateful for his help and everyone at Southlake. The office staff, PT, PAs.

He graduated medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham in 1989 and completed an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency in 1995. Dr. Blum began his orthopaedic practice in Alexander City, Alabama, and relocated to Birmingham to become one of the founding owners of Southlake Orthopaedics Sports Medicine and Spine Center. Dr. Blum’s practice has a special emphasis on sports medicine and joint replacement/reconstruction.
