He further specialized his training by completing a dedicated Joint Replacement Fellowship at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. A highly respected leader in his field, Dr. Ayers has served as the Director of Joint Replacement Services at South Shore Hospital since 2012, as well as Director of the South Shore Health System Physician Hospital Organization since 2015.
A board-certified orthopedic surgeon by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Ayers holds active hospital affiliations at South Shore Hospital, New England Baptist Hospital, and the New England Baptist Surgery Center. He has been consistently recognized by his peers as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2014 and has received distinguished honors including the Skip Costello Award and the Orthopedic Surgery Resident Research Award.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Ayers is deeply involved in orthopedic leadership and research.
