Spent $200 so he can come in the room and say the same the hospital said! That’s $200 could have been put on the $400 i had to pay for an MRI! Something he thought i couldn’t pay for! I came to his office to see why my knee keep popping out of place! not for him to tell me it would pop back in place eventually! I know that hell smh

My original appointment was made for a doctor to look at my sons chest to see if the bones are growing abnormal. As soon as I said why we were there he immediately said he doesn’t specialize in the chest and I would have to make another appointment with Dr. Handwerger. It just so happened that my son was complaining of his neck from a previous injury 5 weeks prior when I signed him. If it wouldn’t have been for his neck I would have wasted my time, copay, and time off work for this appointment to be told to come back another day to see another MD. I told the person who scheduled my appointment why my son was needing to be seen so I’m not sure how I ended up with an orthopedic MD who won’t even look at a chest bone.

I found very pleasant. He told me my problem and what could help. Then gave me a shot in my knee and told me to come back when I needed to.

I did not have to wait long to see him. He gets to the point to complete the treatment needed. He offered a return treatment plan if needed. I felt his long term medical experience made me feel secure! I would recommend him to my friends and family.

He is an absolute wonderful doctor! Not many doctors have the kindness in their heart as he does!

He used to have a great bedside manner however this time he actually rolled his index finger in the air in an effort to make me talk faster after he asked me what my problem was. I thought that was so rude.

We usually see another doctor but had see Dr. Cockrell last minute. Horrible experience for my daughter who injured her knee. He was in room for less than 30 seconds. Touched her knee briefly and asked if it hurt. That’s all. Then said he’d have To order an MRI. I will never see this guy again. He could have at least acted like he cared.

Talk at patient and not with patient. Compassion isn't in his vocabulary. Already have come to a conclusion so why do they patient need to even come in..ohhh those copays...Disrespectful to the patient. Patient can hear outside of the rooms.

Once he found out I couldn't afford a mri immediately, he said there was nothing he could do for me and i was out of the room within mins.

He needs to treat his patients with some kind of empathy he is so cold he’s been at his job too long it’s like your just a number to him he walks in the room ask a few questions doesn’t even explain anything and leaves I’m most sure I’m not the only patient saying these things about him

After paying cash up front which was fine since I don’t have insurance but Felt like I was not worth the time I paid for by the doctor him self. Everyone including the PA was nice and helpful but the doctor himself made me feel like I was an inconvenience.

He took me on Friday morning with almost no notice because of my hip pains.

Seemed knowledgeable. Seemed in a hurry. He may be personable but I wouldn't know from the 2 minutes that we spoke. An improvement would be to listen and ask the patient if they feel like they have explained everything they're concerned about.

In the two times I have had appointments with Dr. Cockrell, he spent about 4 minutes with me the first time and MAYBE 30 seconds the second time. He did not explain my treatment plan at all or seem to show any interest.

I waited in the room for thirty minutes before the doctor came in then felt rushed when he did come in. For a first appointment, I did not feel like he cared to get to know me or the extent of my issues. I will not be returning.

Dr. Cockrell has treated me since 1995 when he performed surgery on my shoulder. I have continued to see him for the past 20 years! I also had the honor of working under him as an Athletic Trainer, many years ago.

Less then 1 min of conversation and no specific answer to my question and jus gave pain killer wasted more then 200 hundred for 2 min visit to get pain killer where I normally don’t have pain it jus when i bend my knee He said xray/ mir looksgood
