Dr. Michael Campbell is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty training in sports medicine.
Dr. Campbell received his Bachelor of Arts degree at Ohio Wesleyan University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. While at Ohio Wesleyan, Dr. Campbell was a three-time Academic All-American soccer player, captaining the team to the 1998 NCAA Division III National Championship. Dr. Campbell went on to receive his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating at the top of his class. He completed his orthopedic residency training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. From there, he completed a one-year fellowship training in sports medicine at the esteemed American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. He treated all levels of athletes from weekend warriors to high school, collegiate, and professional ranks.
After completing his fellowship training, Dr. Campbell joined a practice in Exton, Pennsylvania where he had been practicing for the last 9 years before joining the Lancaster Orthopedic Group in 2019.
Dr. Campbell is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics, Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society, and an associate member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
Dr. Campbell’s clinical practice includes the non-operative and operative management of sports injuries, fractures, and degenerative conditions of the shoulder, hip, and knee. His expertise lies in the minimally invasive/arthroscopic treatment of shoulder and knee injuries, as well as reconstructive procedures for the shoulder, hip, and knee.

Waste of time basically I was told by Kayla Gross on Friday they could get me in sooner for knee injections which I previously have gotten at family doctor. Last Wednesday had appointment with family doctor it got canceled due to Doctor and she couldn’t get me in until November 25 so Kayla said I could come in Monday for injections. Yeah ok he did X-rays said they look fine oh there was some fluid he could drain but otherwise therapy. I do plenty of crap at home myself. So he wants to see me in two months for what he did nothing. So I’ll keep appointment and stay on wait list for family doctor for sooner appointment. The injections help greatly last time I had one was over a year ago. So I not only wasted my time but my drivers time as well to still leave that visit in terrible pain. So no I was not happy period. I’ll just let my family doctor do as she was at least she helped my pain. This guy could care less. Xray may not of shown much but there is definitely something wro
