The Dr. Birns is nice, friendly and informative. He explained everything. He gave me options and allowed me to decide which treatment I felt comfortable with. I had a torn meniscus, and as a runner I had to see someone who specialized in working with athletes, knowing that he wouldn’t default to “OK, we’ve always just yanked out the meniscus and told you not to ever run again!”
Dr Birns laid out the options, kept me informed along the way, and used modern tools and techniques to hopefully salvage my meniscus and running. I have to finish my PT still so I’m not sure where I’ll end up, but where I started with fears about never running again, now it’s a question of “can I get that marathon under my belt.”
His knowledge and technique seemed above par, and his bedside manner was exactly what I needed / wanted.
I can’t recommend Dr Birns enough!

I was referred to Dr Birns because I needed someone that “really knows hips.” He has been incredibly thorough systematically working through my issues, and seeking 2nd and 3rd opinions when needed. He is so kind, compassionate, and conservative in his treatment. You won’t find a better doctor for your hip anywhere.
