He is a very caring Surgeon , asks any questions and explains very clearly! Would have no other Surgeon !!

Good listener and shares options with you. Matt the PA is also very thorough and pleasant.

I wish there were two of him

My appointment was at 3:10. I didn't get to see the doctor until about 4:15. After waiting for over an hour, he spoke with me for about five minutes. He was talking so fast, I could barely understand anything he was saying because it felt like he was trying to just get the appointment over with and done so he could go onto the next patient.

I waited 30 minutes to be seen without any update from the staff. Not much compassion for my painful injury, just a very hasty run-down of my options, none of which he recommended. I had to ask for an explanation of technical terms I didn't understand. He basically told me it would get better eventually, despite 9 months of ongoing pain, without any appreciation for the impact on my career. On his way out the door, as an after-thought, he asked if he had answered all my questions.

Dr Bercik was running late and apologized twice in the exam room. He sounded rushed and I felt he did not take time to adequately answer my questions or discuss my condition. Very high marks for the nurse and PA.

I had 4 surgeries with LOG is top notch. They accepted my challenging situation. I had previous consultations with other Orthapedic groups. He was very easy to talk to and down to earth. Explained things in terms you could understand. Took his time and wasn’t in a rush. Treated you like a person and not a number. I definitely would recommend him.

Dr Bercik has skill beyond average in shoulder surgery. His reputation among my friends was why I selected Dr Bercik.

I didn't feel like he spent enough time with me to diagnose my lack of mobility. All test were done in a sitting position which doesn't really test the weight of my arms. Dr. didn't even touch me to see where the pain was or stiffness.

While Dr. Bercik is an excellent surgeon, his bedside manner is poor. He spent a total of 48 seconds in the room for my appointment (yes I set my timer). That is unacceptable. I doubt he’s only billing insurance for a 48 second visit. He is always very rushed and not very kind.

His diagnosis and treatment for my fractured elbow was spot on. He took a conservative approach and rather than performing surgery (which most would have opted for, he had a treatment plan which allowed me to heal without surgery.

Dr. Bertha took care of my fractured kneecap, three months to the day it was healed. Still need to rehab the muscles tendons etc. but the kneecap itself is healed. Elegy did a fine job, nice people, nice facilities, if needed, I will come back to use their services again. I recommend Dr. birth sick as my ortho surgeon

Just a good ol boy

Dr. Bercik has very good communication skills with patients. He is compassionate with your individual situation. He is tolerant of my complaints and concerns. If I knew he was an expert in all orthopedic areas I would have him be my one go to Dr. For Orthopedic needs.

Dr Bercik is what I expect of a highly skilled medical professional; my concerns are competence (Dr Bercik is a skilled surgeon), efficiency (how quickly can the correct diagnosis be found - pretty darn fast in my case) and a holistic and caring approach (treat the whole patient - in my case, he listened to me and explained things in a way that I could understand).

He was on call at UPC last monday when i was there from a fall. Xrays showed fractured knee cap. Saw him at his office next day first said i needed surgery, then i didnt. Follow up visit yesterday. I brought that up to him and was given a long explanation of why it happened. Mixed me up with another patient and apologized alot and said it was "a comedy of errors". Also, questioned that his specialty was shoulder and elbow.also said you dont see alot of fractured knee caps???!!!! He said I could change doctors if I wanted to. Well, I've made a follow up with him in 3 weeks, but now I dont know. Honestly, if I hadn't brought it up yesterday, I dont know if he would have mentioned the reason for the mixed up. Was it the hospital, the doctor or both? A comedy of errors, poor choice of words, dont think it's funny. I not sure what I'm going to do, feel I dont trust him. I rated okay, but not ok.

Not only does his expertise and professionalism instill confidence in his medical abilities, but Dr. Bercik has a very friendly and relatable demeanor, and always takes time to answer questions without making you feel rushed. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of orthopedic surgery.

I believe he is an excellent surgeon, however he needs to spend much more time explaining what to expect, healing times and what the patient can & can't do. He is always in a hurry to leave the room as soon as he arrives.
