Tried to be helpful but talked too much instead of listening and was at times condescending. No, I didn't injure my shoulder by landing on my arm during a fall. I injured it through the type of work I do. Look up the rates of injuries of sonographers. When I say a fact, I mean what I say. You are going to lose your female patient's trust when you start blaming their symptoms on emotions. You are not a cognitive therapist. Stay in your lane.

Dr. was concerned about my arthritis symptoms and willing to help in any way possible to give me fast relief. We updated/changed medications and I’m checking in if needed. OSMS will monitor my labs & it’s all good! Thank you for being my doctor, Dr. Avery.

Took time to answer questions and didn’t push an “instant” solution. Will follow up with phone call when all tests results are complete.

“Being a rheumatology specialist provides the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with my patients. I believe that to be an effective physician, it is imperative to thoroughly educate patients on their diagnosis and treatment options, which empowers them to engage in critical decisions regarding their care. Rheumatology is a challenging field, and while the diagnosis or treatment is not always easily obtained, that is rapidly evolving. We are now living in exciting times, where the scientific research and development of new therapies have radically improved outcomes for rheumatology patients. These advancements have led to dramatic improvements in the ability to achieve remission of rheumatic diseases, significantly improving the quality of life for patients.”
