Dr. Michael Amponsah, M.D., completed his medical education at K. N. University of Science and Technology before going on to complete his internal medicine residency, along with fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, at Rutgers University/Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey. He also holds an Executive MBA in Healthcare from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.
Board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, adult echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology, Dr. Amponsah is fellowship-trained in structural heart procedures—including heart valves (TAVR), left atrial appendage occlusion (Watchman), and coronary artery stenting—as well as the management of peripheral arterial disease.
He diagnoses and treats the entire spectrum of adult cardiovascular diseases, including coronary artery disease (heart attack), irregular heart rhythms, heart failure, hypertension, and high cholesterol. Prior to joining Cardiac Solutions in 2021, Dr. Amponsah served as the director of the interventional cardiology service and the lead physician for the TAVR program at Conemaugh Health Systems in Pennsylvania. In his practice, he provides deeply empathetic care, partnering closely with his clients to achieve the best possible health outcomes.

Dr. Amponsah has replaced Dr. Quinn for us. Well, actually, no one can replace Dr. Quinn. All I can say, so far we really like our new doctor. He's quite thorough. Saw him the first time when he introduced himself, then the PA each time thereafter. So, how can we rate him at all?
