Dr. Levine has extensive research experience, which has been recognized nationally and internationally. In 1992, he received an award from the National Research Forum in Galveston, Texas for his work on the treatment of advanced prostate cancer. In 1998, Dr. Levine developed a prostate biopsy technique that increases the detection of prostate cancer by 30%. These results were presented at the meeting of the Society of International Urology. Additionally, Dr. Levine collaborated on a study on blood management during radical prostatectomy for the treatment of prostate cancer. Dr. Levine has also reported on the use of minimally invasive surgical techniques for the treatment of upper urinary tract cancer. Dr. Levine’s research is published in leading peer review journals.
Dr. Levine is very active in community and hospital based educational programs. He is currently a regular speaker for Pfizer, Merck, and Pharmacia Upjohn.
