I waited an hour and half after my appointment time for the dr to come in to see me. Then he said I didn’t need the test my dr recommend but a different test, one that requires 3 separate office visits. I expressed my concern of being charged a copay at each visit due to my copay being $120. He assured me I would only be charged at the last appointment where I met with the dr. I also went over this info with the girl at the front desk and she told me the same thing. However when I arrived for application of the test today they are charging me a $120 copay again.

Dr. Lapuente made we feel comfortable and relaxed. He listened to me and did not interrupt while I described my symptoms. He explained what his plan was and how he was going to follow through.

Dr. Lapuente was very friendly and informative. Previously I’d been deterred from getting allergy tested and from getting tested for several allergens. The opposite was the case with Dr. Lapuente. He encouraged me to test as many things as I was curious about. When the initial test showed negative despite my allergic reaction event that caused me to get tested in the first place, Dr. Lapuente ordered additional testing rather than just send me on my way. It’s refreshing to speak with a doctor who takes a patient forward approach to medicine.
