I have been a patient of Dr. Duggan for many years. After multiple kidney stones and the correction of an issue I dealt with for decades prior to seeing Dr. Duggan, I cannot say enough about how pleased, and thankful, I am.
Dr. Mell Duggan graduated from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, and earned his medical degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine in 1984. He served as a resident in general surgery for two years and completed a three-year residency in urology at UAB in 1989.
In addition to being a partner of Urology Centers of Alabama, Dr. Duggan has served as chairman of the Medical Center East Department of Surgery and as president of the Birmingham Urology Club.
Dr. Duggan is certified in urology by the American Board of Urology. He maintains membership with several national and local professional organizations including the American Urological Association, the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, the Jefferson County Medical Society, and the Birmingham Urology Club. Currently, Dr. Duggan is affiliated with Princeton and UAB. He is a native of Birmingham, Alabama.
