Dr. Melissa Martinez-Diaz is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. A native of Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, Dr. Martinez-Diaz attended medical school in Guadalajara, Mexico where she graduated in the top 15% of her class.
She went on to complete her Internal Medicine Residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Queens, New York in 2004. Dr. Martinez-Diaz joins Gonzaba Medical Group after practicing medicine in Harlingen/Brownsville, Texas.
She has received the Medical Student Excellence Award, Master Teacher Participation Award for excellence in medical teaching to residents and medical students, and was named Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, to name a few.
