I have reviewed Dr. Gates before- ALWAYS 5 star. Over the course of the past 6 years she has changed my life. Under her care my diabetes is under tight control, I have lost 120lbs, and accidents aside will live longer than I would have giving me more time with my children and granddaughter. If you need a doctor that sees the whole picture and not just the immediate concern- Dr. Gates is the one you need to see.

Melissa Gates is the BEST doctor I have ever had!! She listens and gives great advice. She talks softly and it's calming. She answers all my questions and doesn't rush me out of the office like some doctors like to do. Thank You Melissa Gates!! 💯

She is always concerned for her patients. She is like a breath of fresh air! Today most doctors either don't have the time to listen to patients, or they dont care! Dr. Gates is different, she cares about the people who ask her to help them. I like that in a qualified doctor.

Gates completed a residency in family medicine at Lansing-based Sparrow Hospital under the auspices of the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, during which she served as a member of the clinical adjunct faculty.
Gates’ past work experience includes employment as a phlebotomist at Madison, Wis.-based Dean Health Care; as a research intern for Gaithersburg, Md.-based Transgenomic Inc.; as a research intern in epidemiology for New York City’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene; and as a research fellow for the Department of Biochemistry at Mt. Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass.
