Dr. Melissa Egert, M.D., went to Indiana University Bloomington to complete her degree in biology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology. She continued her education as a Hoosier and received her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, where she also completed her urology residency. She returned to Northwest Indiana to join Urologic Specialists of Northwest Indiana.

Dr. Melissa Egert, M.D., grew up in Schererville, IN, and attended Andrean High School. She then went on to Indiana University Bloomington to complete her degree in biology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology. She continued her education as a Hoosier and received her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, where she also completed her urology residency. She returned to Northwest Indiana to join Urologic Specialists of Northwest Indiana.
Dr. Egert’s areas of interest and expertise include minimally invasive procedures for BPH, surgical treatment and prevention of kidney stones, in-office vasectomy, as well as other common urologic issues such as incontinence and overactive bladder.
In her free time, Dr. Egert enjoys traveling, watching football, spending time with her family and trying new restaurants.
