Melissa Gioia Austin, MD

Dr. Melissa Gioia Austin, M.D., FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist at North Valley Women’s Care in Glendale, Arizona. As an Arizona native herself, Dr. Austin gives women in her home state top-notch, women-led holistic care.

Dr. Austin’s educational background includes attending medical school at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. After graduation, she completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center, which is a top-ranked hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

Once in practice, Dr. Austin earned her certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. At North Valley Women’s Care, she provides her patients with the routine care they need like pelvic exams and diagnostic testing as well as treatments for conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome.

Dr. Austin specializes in caring for high-risk pregnancies, including multiple gestations, preeclampsia, and diabetes. She also routinely performs minimally invasive and robotic surgeries using the daVinci® robotic system.

Outside the office, Dr. Austin enjoys spending her time with her spouse, Alex, their twin children, and two Labradors. She loves taking her kids to the park, traveling, watching movies, and taking care of her personal health with CrossFit and cycling.
