Dr. Gowda has been trained in clinical and surgical options for women with pelvic floor disorders and brings this expertise to the Urogynecology practice of Virginia Urology.
Dr. Gowda pursued her undergraduate pre-medical studies at Virginia Commonwealth University. She was awarded her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, where she served as President of the Medical Student Government. Following her time in Richmond, she completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York University and Bellevue Hospital. Dr. Gowda then completed her fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Her clinical interests include female urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, fecal incontinence, and minimally invasive techniques.
Dr. Gowda is thrilled to return to Richmond, Virginia – a place she has always considered home. She is an active member of the Museum District Women’s Club. In her spare time, she loves traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
