Dr. Meghan Lemke seeks to embody this philosophy in her practice of medicine, striving to be a good listener and compassionate caregiver, recognizing that true healing encompasses much more than just making a diagnosis and treatment plan.
Dr. Lemke joins Carolina Asthma & Allergy Center from Birmingham, Alabama where she practiced at an independent allergy practice for several years. A graduate of Mayo Medical School, Dr. Lemke was trained in pediatrics and allergy/immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and subsequently served on the Vanderbilt faculty as Assistant Professor. She is committed to constant learning in order to stay current with the latest advancements in our field. She enjoys teaching patients about the science of their particular allergic process and aims to partner with her patients in achieving optimal outcomes with the least amount of medications possible.
Dr. Lemke lives in the Lake Norman area with her husband and 3 young children where they are enjoying exploring all that Charlotte and Lake Norman have to offer. In her free time, she enjoys reading, boating, and church and school activities.

My experience was very mixed. The medical assistant, Jay, was absolutely wonderful. He was friendly, personable, attentive, and made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. He listened to my concerns and showed genuine care, which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, my experience with the allergy specialist was the complete opposite. She came across as very cold and impersonal, with little personality or engagement. I felt like I was being talked at rather than talked with, and my concerns weren’t addressed in a way that left me feeling heard or understood. After waiting for answers about ongoing symptoms, I left feeling disappointed and no closer to understanding what might be causing them. If not for Jay, my review would be much lower. He was the bright spot of the visit and deserves recognition for the excellent care and professionalism he provided

She took time with me. Seen I was overwhelmed and explained everything.
Dr. Lemke was wonderful. She put my son at ease with her explanations about allergy testing and his results. We highly recommend her.
Everyone was Very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend.
Unfortunately, she hadn't met me previously & did know my name that my handsome Little Rickey gave me years ago. Now we are COOL!!! It felt as if I had known her for some time. She was very attentive, approachable, patient, & of course professional. I've got a new family member!!!!

Wow! This appointment was fantastically thorough. Now a days you have to be your own health advocate and Dr Lemke is certainly the right choice. She take the time to explain everything in ways that you best understand. She gives you a full explanation of all options for testing and treatments. Absolutely the right choice!!!
