If there are changes, she tells me why and what we're looking for in recovery. Always has time to answer my questions. Michaela (her assistant) and Dr. Hughes are always in good spirits and make the visits enjoyable.

Thorough physical exam and review of records. She took the time to explain to my husband and me what was causing my pain from extreme arthritis as a result of multiple orthopedic surgeries over the past 25 years. The suggestions she made were sensible and logical. She helped me distinguish joint pain from neuropathic pain and offered suggestions for addressing both without further surgery. I’ve been fortunate to have top surgeons from both Chicago and Johns Hopkins. Dr Hughes excels in her ability to communicate efficiently, effectively and kindly with patients.
