Dr. Conti Mica treats a myriad of conditions, including athletes, elbow injuries, any fractures, nerve compression, tendon, ligament or arthritis of the upper extremity. She has extensive training in several procedures, including microscopic, arthroscopic, arthroplasty, and minimally invasive surgery of the upper extremity.
The Arizona native is well known in the orthopedic world, serving as an assistant professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Chicago. She has also published several research articles, including work on lateral collateral ligament injuries of the elbow and the effect of image-guided corticosteroid injections on thumb carpometacarpal arthritis.
Dr. Conti Mica’s patient care philosophy is to treat her patients like they were her own family member. Clear and honest communication, thoughtful patient centric care with shared decision making.

my appointment was over an hour late by the time i saw the doc, she never apologized for being late, never introduced additional person in room watching what was going on,i thought was rude, doc never asked why i was there exactly before jumping into options for wrists, then i had to ask about medications that might help instead of surgery at this time-rushed thru appointment and said she would give medication with a year of refills, but when i got to pharmacy i only got a 2 week prescription with no refills.
I really like Dr. Megan Conti Mica. She’s not only an excellent orthopedic doctor but also incredibly caring and attentive. I felt comfortable and confident in her hands, and her genuine kindness made all the difference. Highly recommend her!
Dr Mica was kind, compassionate, and efficient. I appreciate her knowledge and willingness to help me. The cortisone injection she gave me has helped decrease pain in my shoulder.
Took plenty of time to explain things and looked at other wrist problems not associated to my appointment. Very thorough!
