I had an appt with the PA but had a question he came in and spent at least 20 minutes helping me make a plan.

The doctor is very kind and pleasant. He explained everything in great detail. The fact that he was an hour late to the appointment was disappointing and frustrating. I was never informed that he was running late and left sitting in the room without information. Everyone’s time is valuable and should be considered.

Dr. Thomas has been my Ortho Dr for many years. We worked together regarding knee pain , many years of gel injections. No rush to surgery. Last year, it became time to have my right knee replaced. Surgery was preceded by pre op physical therapy recommended by Dr. Thomas. Surgery done at AZ Spine and Joint Hospital, excellent care! Home the day after. Dr. Thomas prescribed a RomTech bike which I started on when I got home and continued for 3 weeks combined with outpatient PT 2x’s/week for 6 weeks. I had follow-ups at 2 weeks to remove surgical bandages, 6 weeks and today at 1 year! Dr. Thomas takes great care to listen to his patients. I also worked with Dr. Thomas’s assistants, Laura and Julie, who are excellent! Nothing but the best care given by Dr. Thomas, his staff, PT Christine Phillips and all support staff with OrthoAZ! Thank you for great results!

Today was the first day I met Dr Thomas. He was running an hour or more behind schedule. But the wait was worth it. He was personable, professional and easy to talk to. I plan to lose more weight before having knee replacement surgery. He agreed I need to be stronger after surgery so he scheduled me for physical therapy and I will do the exercises they suggest to be healthier moving forward.

Dr. Thomas has done a meniscus repair on one knee and a total knee replacement on the other. At 6 weeks post replacement, I could not be more pleased with the outcome. His staff has been very helpful , accessible and caring all along the way. I would recommend more stars if I could .

Total hip replacement, office was well organized, surgery went well with no pain, incision was very clean, recovery is progressing rapidly.

Excellent results -- replaced my right hip and then 3 yrs alter my left hip. If I were a centipede Dr. Thomas could do all my hips!

Left Hip replacement: Great surgeon & procedure! Discomfort after surgery didn't require Rx pain meds: Used a walker for week one, a cane for week two; walking & driving like new by the end of week three. Week five without restrictions. Pre & post surgery experience was great - clearly explained everything. Ten months later & 35 lbs lighter from being able to move around & not hang around the fridge / pantry to console myself. Have to agree with my wife - should've done this years before
