Dr. Matthew Hwang received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota Medical School, Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Hwang completed his orthopedic residency as well as his sports medicine fellowship at Tulane University, New Orleans, LA. He has been certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in Orthopaedic Surgery (2004) and Sports Medicine (2009). He joined our clinic in the summer of 2002 and is a member of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine.

I appreciate everything Dr. Hwang has done for me! Just had my 1 year checkup after having shoulder replacement by him and it's doing great! He's very personable and friendly and really cares about his patients! Best wishes on his retirement!!!!

Dr Hwang is a great surgeon. He has wonderful bedside manner, is professional and does great work. He did my right shoulder repair and couple years ago and the result was amazing.
