Matthew Hansen, M.D.

I had pain in my hips. After MRI and X-Ray there were 3 unpleaseant diagnoses. Dr. Hanses assigned PT and didn't rush with surgery. There were 2 options: Hip replacement or arthoscopic surgery. Given diagnoses I had , I felt really awful and depressed. But after PT my hips did somehow recover and didn't hurt so much. I guess this is wise and careful approach he chose. Thank you! I will keep checking on my hips.

I liked how doctor Hansen talked with me and how he went about an exam, what he shared about my mri and what was the best plan for me and explained that the nerve exam would be somewhat painful, he didn't sugar coat it. Seems to be a great doctor in my opinion.

Dr. Hansen performed a very tricky shoulder replacement surgery for my partner. She fell on a wet floor at a hotel that didn't have it marked, broke her arm, and a year later had to have a shoulder replacement done. She is permanently disabled due to a TBI & Stroke, so she has multiple issues. Dr. Hansen was very thorough, knowledgeable & talented. He has continued to follow up with some issues, and always makes sure that everything is healing properly. We love Dr. Hansen.

I came in with 4-5 questions about a torn rotator cuff. After looking at the x-rays, MRI and after conducting several strength and range of motion tests and looking at x-rays and the MRI told me the options and what he would recommend. His recommendation was to NOT do surgery unless the condition worsens in the future.

Issue with Corp policy.

This process has been a complete nightmare and I am researching whether I have rights as a patient against Ortho. The Dr, I am not sure about or not.

Dr. Hansen was very thorough and I'm glad I was able to see him today for my injury.

Didn't seem interested in my questions or problems and therefore didn't seem intersted in helping me with solutions. He blew me off to 2 different doctors for things he admitted he could have addressed, had he wanted to take the time. Prior several years I received the injections I needed the same day. Dr. Hansen is the Finest Physician I have ever had the pleasure to meet, much less treat me. Polite, Professional and Very Proficient.

Very knowledgeable in his field and willing to answer all of your questions. Wait time is too long though; over an hour.

Dr. Hansen clearly explained my medical issues with me and recommended corrective actions. He took time to go over everything I needed to know about my future care.

So grateful for his honest discussion and time he took to explain options. Originally I was told I had to have surgery. On my pre-op visit her said that he recommended waiting to see if my body would heal on its own. We shall see but I appreciated his willingness not to rush to surgery.

Dr. Hansen has cared for my knees and shoulders for years. He is my hero for planning treatment for knees so that I could traverse the Mt. Everest Base Trail in Nepal, a bucket list item, at a time knee stability was tenuous..
