Dr. Matthew Hansen specializes in orthopedic sports medicine, advanced shoulder, and elbow surgery, knee ligament reconstruction, hip arthroscopy, and cartilage restoration. He received his doctorate in medicine from the University Of Utah School Of Medicine. Dr. Hansen was then selected to the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery (Orthopedic Surgery Residency) in New York City and interned at The New York- Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. He further completed fellowship training at the distinguished Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles. While there, Dr. Hansen worked in conjunction with team surgeons providing care for the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Angels of Anaheim. He also worked with the Los Angeles Kings, the Los Angeles Sparks, the Los Angeles Galaxy, the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, and University of Southern California football.

Took time for thorough explanation
He was thorough and clear in his messaging, and he did not try to push a surgery
Great
Could hear him being loud outside the room being irritated and saying I shouldn't be seen as I had a "no call/no show" appointment. The actual situation was that twice ive made appointments at the end of the week, and somehow the establishment rescheduled them both for Mondays, without calling or confirming. I have the email to prove this. Overall doesn't seem like a great guy, terrible manner of dealing with patients. Wouldn't recommend.
Best Ortho Doctor in town. Expert with exquisite interpersonal skills. Explains everything in layman’s terminology. He also gives non-operative options.
Very kind and explains in detail what transpired in your surgery. And your recovery.
Dr. Hansen is very knowledgeable and straight to the point, does not beat around the bush. His bed side manor is great, doesn't matter how many times he sees you, he always walks in the room with a smile and shakes your hand to greet you and shakes your hand after the appointment.

He did a great job repairing my shoulder. He patiently answered my questions and explained things to me in a way that I could understand.
