Dr. Matthew S. Griffith, M.D., is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spine surgery, orthopaedic trauma, and general orthopaedics, with a focus on cervical spine disorders. A Pennsylvania native, he earned his biology degree from Penn State and his medical degree from Drexel University, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army, completing his residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, GA, where he was named Outstanding Resident. He later served at Fort Stewart as Medical Director of Surgery and Chief of Orthopaedics and Podiatry, and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom: Spartan Shield. Following his service, he completed a spine fellowship at the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, GA.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Griffith enjoys time with his wife, Cara, and their two dogs, along with skiing, golf, weightlifting, and baking sourdough bread.

Great Dr I can’t thank him enough for making my quality of life so much better. After reading so many negative scary things on social media about this procedure it was so comforting to address these fears with dr Griffith who gave me the reassurance that I needed to get me thru the recovery process.
Dr. Griffith really listens to the patient about their problems, with great care and concern. Then works on solutions to solve the issues.

Did not address problems i am having with my neck, gi issues, headaches, just referred me to a neurologist for headaches and told to get an epidural. That did not help with the terrible pain I am in right now, cant eat because my stomach is upset all the time or my debilitating headaches where I can hardly function. It maybe months before I can get the epidural or see a neurologist so no, no help at all.

It was my initial consultation with Dr. Griffin, and I found him to be very attentive and empathetic, as he thoroughly listened to all of the concerns I presented.
