There are not enough good things to say about Dr. Gotlin. He's caring, knowledgeable, and listens - listening to patients is a very important quality! I’ve sent friends and recommended him to so many of my clients!! Thank God he's young, I wouldn't want him retiring any time soon, lol.

Dr. Matthew Gotlin is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine. Dr. Gotlin is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Penn State University’s Eberly College of Science. He completed medical school at the Stony Brook School of Medicine in New York. At Stony Brook he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society, recipient of the Stony Brook School of Medicine Academic Merit Award, and recipient of the overall Clinical Excellence award. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at the prestigious NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital in New York City. He was the recipient of the 2019 Herodicus Award for Best Resident Paper at the AOSSM annual meeting. During his final year of residency he was selected and served as Executive Chief Resident. After residency, Dr. Gotlin completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City .
Dr. Gotlin is currently the team physician for the Harlem Wizards men’s professional basketball team. He has served as an assistant team physician for the NFL’s New York Jets, the NFL scouting combine, and the National Women’s Hockey League’s Metropolitan Riveters. He also has experience at the collegiate level where he served as an assistant team physician for the NYU and LIU athletic programs, as well as assistant team physician for the Manhattanville men’s hockey team. Dr. Gotlin has extensive experience caring for high school and adolescent athlete’s and has also provided medical care for the NYC Marathon as well as to the dancers of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
Dr. Gotlin has published numerous book chapters and scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Association of Orthopaedic Medicine.
