Originally from Columbus, GA, he graduated magna cum laude from Auburn University with an undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences. He went on to earn his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic in Memphis where he served as Chief Orthopaedic Resident. Before becoming a member of our staff, Dr. Stewart completed a fellowship specializing in foot and ankle surgery at Duke University.
Dr. Stewart is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Society (AAOS) and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS). He has published several research studies in peer-reviewed orthopedic journals on pediatric fractures, total ankle replacements, and the effect of obesity on elective foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Stewart has a clinical expertise in total ankle replacements, deformity correction, sports related injuries of the foot and ankle, general orthopaedic trauma, total knee replacements and total hip replacements through the anterior approach.

Dr Stewart is an awesome doctor and I would recommend him to anyone that needs to have hip or knee replacements. I had both hip and knee replacement surgeries this year and I have complaints at all.
The PA was wonderful and whole staff so pleasant and helpful.

Came in to have my left knee evaluated. Didn’t actually get examined by Dr. Stewart. Since this was my first encounter, I fully expected to have my initial assessment performed by Dr. Stewart; instead, I was examined and treated by his PA.
Dr. Stewart assistant was amazing. I was so worried about my knee injection but she did it so fast and smooth. It was painless and I’m still in shock how great she did.
Not rushed. Kind matter. Explained situation well.
