Dr. Erwood performed ACDF on my cervical spine in May. He had a wonderful bed side manner and the surgery went amazing. I could not be happier with the results. I came from south Florida to have him do my surgery and I would do it again in a heartbeat! He’s the best in my opinion!!❤️

I called ahead of time and even collected the MRI report myself. However when my husband showed up for his appointment we were told another one would have to be reordered even though the existing report was within the year. We wasted $60 on a co-pay and time lost at work

This was a consultation I was pleased with it however need to wait for service before referring any one. Dr was friendly answered questions took time to make me feel like he cared.

Matt is the best. He takes time with you and makes sure you understand his plan of treatment.

Was very caring with his evaluation.asked the history of Cathy moved into the exam understood her condition asked where the pain was showed her the images explained what was showing talked to her about what could be done set it in motion to see if would work before going into other treatments.

You may have to wait an extra 20 minutes in the waiting room to see him. But that's because he spends time with his current patients and listens. As a surgeon, he is a well trained on the newest technology.

Dr. Erwood performed a minimally invasive procedure on my lower spine for severely herniated disc w/ sciatica. I am 40 years old and this was the first surgery that I had ever had, so needless to say I was very nervous. I thank God for how easy and quickly the whole surgery was. They were very understanding of my anxiety and concerns, and made sure that I was comfortable and at ease through the whole process. This would have been my first doctor visit. I wasn't given the full information on what I needed to bring to my doctor's visit so when I wasn't told that my co-pay had to be paid in full upfront I didn't have the opportunity to have that doctor's visit so I lost 4 hours at work which is pay for me and I felt like it was a waste of time because I'm still in pain

He was very professional polite and went through my test with me before talking me though treatment.

He has a horrible bedside manner. Stated my abnormal MRI’s looked perfect 2 herniated discs and 4 bulging disc. He said “I am just looking to have surgery and 4 other neurosurgeons wouldn’t even perform surgery on me due to the risk of me dying on the table or extreme risk to the patient. For me and their license. But in this mans eyes my spine is magically NORMAL and it’s all muscle pain and in my head. Then he left the room and slammed the door on me.

Dr. Erwood...what a fantastic addition to the neurological staff at St. Vincent's. He performed three emergency Craniotomies on my brother within a four day period. The second of which he did at 2:30am on a Sunday morning. He was extremely professional but also very honest about possible outcomes. He explained all procedures and imaging with a great deal of clarity and professional concern. He even showed us the imaging on a portable monitor so that we would be clear while my brother was in SICU. He knew the right times to lighten the load with a little bit of humor. Oh, and might I add that the third craniotomy for subdural hematomas typically yields somber results but our good fortune gave Dr. Erwood to us to perform my brother's surgeries. After only six weeks post Op, my brother is now walking, talking and laughing. We are so happy that Dr. Erwood was involved with my brother's surgeries and care. My brother once again has the opportunity to enjoy life which he loved so much!
