Dr. Matthew Erwood graduated from Miami University of Oxford, Ohio in 2009 with a degree in zoology and a minor in neuroscience. He then attended Medical College of Georgia for his medical degree with completion in May of 2013. He began his Neurosurgery training at UAB in June of 2013 and graduated from the program in June of 2020. During Dr. Erwood’s training, his interests included spine, minimally invasive spine surgery, and neuro-oncology.
