Amazing Dr really listens to your concerns and comes up with suggestions and explains the pathophysiology of current eye according to your age and what can be done to facilitate the best possible vision foe your age.

I had to have a diabetic eye exam and was told to allow 2 hours but they were very efficient and worked diligently and I was out within an hour!

He is always late for the appointment. It was 30 minutes this last time.

I wish that Dr. Appenzeller would say more about his findings after an exam. I've been going to him for quite some time now and I would like to know more in detail about any issues I have with my eyes. He's cordial and I'm sure very skilled, but I would like to have more feedback from him.

Great chairside manner. He took plenty of time to address my needs. I'm lucky to have him as my eye doctor.

He's an excellant surgeon, had 2 retina detachments & I had a much better outcome, sightwise, then my hubby who had same thing done by a different surgeon at a different facility. The only gripe I have is he had my eyes dialated for an eye exam but we both forgot the new prescription eye exam especially after he said my eye pressure was up. Also don't like having to come back so often & pay for eye tests over & over cause I have a high deductible especially if there is nothing they can do anyway. Its like a new reminder each time, bad enough I lost most of my sight to be able to read with that eye, its like a punch in the gut each time I go.
