Dr. Matt Dumigan believes it is important to provide his patients with a team approach when caring for their needs. His goal is to make sure all of his patients feel well-cared for and have a positive experience in his practice. Dr. Dumigan was a successful high school and collegiate athlete in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, so he has an innate ability to relate to patients in his specialty who are suffering from musculoskeletal issues. He grew up in a family-focused on academics, so his desire to learn has never slowed down, which continues to serve him well due to his passion for orthopedics and sports medicine. He and his wife, Dr. Shelly Dumigan, are extremely active and enjoy spending time with their two children and dogs.

Great doctor and staff
Dr. Damigan is personable and has great bedside manner. He took time explaining my plan, from the MRI to post-op recovery. I appreciate when providers, of all levels, welcome your input and questions and allow you to truly be part of the decision-making process. Not all providers welcome this. Lastly, this is my 4th surgery at McBride, 1st with Dumigan. I recommend McBride to anyone needing to see an orthopedic specialist.

Very personable, explains in detail his treatment plan and try’s to avoid surgery if possible.
