The last time I had shoulder surgery and the only time I've had a surgery like this before on my right shoulder I had Dr Carlin Yates he was absolutely fantastic! So that's my only comparison. And if I compare Yates to Dr shreve there really isn't any comparison. I feel like Dr shreve has been short with me the few times I've seen him like he has something else better to do. I just had an MRI and paid $800 and I was supposed to get a call and I didn't and now I'm scheduled for another week later. Kind of disappointed. Why can't he just call me up and tell me the results since now it will be over 2 weeks since my mri. I'm not sure Dr shreve has the experience I'm looking for.

There is not a better hand doctor in Oklahoma City. He has a terrific way with patience, and he treats the problem, and makes you feel comfortable with what he is doing.

It’s nice to have a doctor take the time to talk about my health issue. He explained each possibility of what might be wrong with my shoulder. I still may need surgery but I’m glad we are trying injections and physical therapy first to see if I get pain relief.

Exceptional care!

My husband and I both were very pleased with Dr. Shreve. He truly listened to our questions, answered them honestly, and most importantly, gave us options for the best course of treatment for my carpal tunnel syndrome. After being told by other doctors that I would have to go under general anesthesia for carpal tunnel surgery, Dr. Shreve gave me the option of using local anesthesia, which is awesome! I would highly recommend Dr. Shreve for any type of hand surgery! If I could give him a 10 star rating, I would! He's wonderful!

He doesn’t listen to your concerns and pay much attention to after surgery care- you really need someone to care for you for 2-3 weeks after shoulder surgery and he paid no attention to my lack of home care. Brutal situation. Also I can’t do opioids and his nurse ordered $450 worth for me to take home even though my chart says no opioids. Still groggy from surgery and didn’t understand what he had prescribed until my son came and found the bottle. Think you could do better elsewhere

Have yet to actually see him. 6 weeks post op and only half way to where he promised I'd be. Quite disappointed.

Failed to respond to my initial email to him on the McBride patient portal. Sounded very negative about the Xiaflex manipulation treatment option vs surgery. Seemed to be occupied with the prospect that this procedure might fail. Any outcome with improved extension of the affected finger is some degree of success to me. Perhaps this man makes much more money doing surgical procedures to correct Dupuytrens contractures of the hands than my non-operative surgical procedures.
