Dr. Mark Schneider, D.O., FACC, FSCAI, was raised in the Philadelphia area after moving from Russia with his family in the early 1990s. Dr. Schneider joined Atlanta Heart Specialists after completing his Internal Medicine, General, and Interventional Cardiology training at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania. There he served as a Chief Fellow in Cardiovascular Medicine and authored several textbook chapters on coronary interventional procedures and participated in quality outcomes research for cardiac catheterization.
Dr. Schneider has a special interest in complex coronary intervention including surgical turndowns, left main stenting, coronary atherectomy, chronic total occlusion intervention, and advanced coronary imaging techniques.
Dr Schneider is also board certified in adult echocardiography and has a special interest in valvular heart disease and is proficient in 3D TEE (transesophageal echocardiograms), transthoracic echocardiography, vascular ultrasound and nuclear stress testing.
Dr Schneider is married with two children. He enjoys spending his free time with his family and playing tennis.

He was great. I had a heart cath and a stent put in. The doctor made sure I understood the procedure by explaining it and answering all of my questions before and after it. He also described what was happening during the procedure. I appreciate his approach to the practice and his care.
Dr Schneider and his staff are the best. From the ER to the office, he listens, cares, and provides easy to understand advice. He goes beyond traditional medicine to fully support heart patients. He literally saved my life!

I enjoyed my initial visit with Dr. Schneider. I was impressed with the info that was provided to me and his approach to resolving the issue.
I did not have an office visit with him. He did my catheter test yesterday. I felt he was very informative.
