Dr. Rothenberg was raised in northern New Jersey and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lehigh University where he was inducted into the Phi Beta Sigma National Freshman Honor Society and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He completed a six-year combined undergraduate and medical school program at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and earned his M.D. degree in 1989. While in medical school, Dr. Rothenberg was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Rothenberg completed his Internal Medicine Internship, Internal Medicine Residency, and Cardiology Fellowship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
