Dr. Ortiz is fantastic! He has obviously reviewed my records before he comes in the room, and the exam is extremely thorough. I see a retina specialist, and I have a family history of eye issues, and the exam covers all of my concerns. He has a wealth of knowledge, and he knows how to communicate it well and in an understandable way. He also is kind and compassionate, obviously wanting the best possible outcome for his patients. I couldn't ask for better!

I’m 50 years old, this was the second time I’ve been to an eye doctor. The first one wasn’t a good experience due to the glasses they prescribed weren’t right. After meeting Dr. Ortiz, he suggested that there were other causes that made my eye feel the way that it does. He had prescribed some medications to help ease the irritation. It was great to have a doctor ‘hear me’ about how my eyes felt, his concerns about other causes that may be making my eyes irritated are setting me on a course that will hopefully resolve my eye irritation.

With a family history of macular degeneration, I was terrified recently when I suddenly had floaters and a bit of blurred vision. I saw Dr. Ortiz the next day. Not only was he reassuring and kind, I received the single most thorough eye exam I've ever had before. He explained everything he was doing, what he was looking for, and what he found, as he went through the exam. It was comforting and a relief to feel that I was getting such excellent medical care. While the outcome was good, Dr. Ortiz also made sure I knew what to be aware of over the next few weeks, and under what circumstances I should come back in as an emergency. I will be going back in a few weeks for a check-up, and then I am switching to him as my permanent eye doctor. I liked my previous doctor, but I was very impressed with Dr. Ortiz!
