All he did really was tell me the same thing the radiologist from the MRI wrote in the chart. I asked about the pain in my hip and SI joint as he was leaving as I was concerned it was related to my back issues (he had previously mentioned that his main concern was if I had nerve pain down my leg) and he informed me that was a hip issue. He left the room saying he would return but only his assistant came back. He was kind enough to give me a cortisone shot after I requested one. That said, I left with no real path forward for how to address my pack pain. I did inquire about activities I should do to help maintain strength and he said swimming. All in all, it felt like he viewed giving me the same information the radiologist had provided on the MRI was his mission, and once that was done, his job was complete. He did give me a referral to a pain specialist, after my asking, who could deliver some x ray guided shots to my back. He did not really explain what the injections were.

Dr had his mind make up by the MRI. He didn’t listen to what I was saying. Broomed in and broomed out. Evidently I was wasting his time.

Hi, totally respect Dr. Michael’s expertise and knowledge. He was running late today which I totally understand but I felt like there was not a lot of patient/doctor exchange. It does not make me want to discontinue our relationship, but just food for thought.
