He participated in a medical mission providing care to underserved regions of Central America. Dr. Messineo completed the Tufts Medical Center Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program in 1996. Spoke to Dr Messineo about my tingling wrists. They wake me up at night and my hands get numb riding my bike. He looked at my X-ray, spoke to me about the results and this time I had a cortisone shot. That really has helped me! He is very easy to talk to, listens well and explains everything so I understood it. I highly recommended!

Dr Messineo is a doctor who actually listens to you! He answers all your questions and explains in a way you can understand. He is the first doctor I’ve seen in a long time that took his time and didn’t rush you out the door before you’ve had a chance to ask all your questions. I felt very comfortable with him as my surgeon and am very pleased with the outcome of my hip replacement!
And in addition to all that, he has a great sense of humor!

He is affiliated with a number of local hospitals and also performs surgery at the Eastern Massachusetts Surgery Center, Steward Norwood Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Milton. He has also served as Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Norwood Hospital.
Dr. Messineo’s clinical interests include arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee, sports medicine, and joint replacement surgery. Dr. Messineo is trained and certified in the technological advancement of robotic-assisted MAKOplasty® total knee replacement and total hip replacement. He has given orthopaedic lectures in the medical community and continues to provide presentations regarding joint replacements to the public.
Dr. Messineo’s other interests include skiing, jogging, and playing golf. He is also an avid reader and lives in the suburbs southwest of Boston with his wife and three children.
